Anthem of Your Nemesis

I bought a “best of” Radiohead album yesterday that was produced by EMI. Apparently the compilation is not sanctioned by Radiohead, but it was an incredible deal on iTunes: 30 × 256-Kbps non-DRM’d AAC tracks for $11.99. The collection could very well be the soundtrack to my life at this moment; I haven’t stopped listening to it since I hit Purchase.

When we entered June, I assumed that I would become very stressed about finishing my school on time. Yet here we are, with less than a week left and a lot of things to complete, and I’m as placid as Gandhi. Maybe it’s denial; I’m not complaining.

Amélie

I just started watching Amélie, a movie that has been on my list for a long time. The cinematography and style of this movie have utterly blown me away. The movie may as well go on my list of favorites even though I’m only a few minutes into it.

The director, Jean-Pierre Jeunet, is very well known for Amélie. He directed A Very Long Engagement, which I hope to watch in the future as well.

Without having even finished the movie, I’d recommend it to anyone. It’s rated #40 on the top 250 movies on IMDb; how much more encouragement do you want?

Grand Theft Auto IV

This is my review of Grand Theft Auto IV: five dead citizens out of five.

The city feels alive, just like they said it would. I\‘ve seen people getting arrested, I\‘ve heard people calling ambulances after accidents, and there are so many random moments that make me laugh.

The main character, Niko Bellic, is extremely likable. The same goes for his cousin, Roman Bellic. It feels like a movie, as cliche as that sounds.

I\‘m definitely going to fail all my courses because of this game. That makes it a winner in my books.

An Old Friend

Welcome. Again.

It is my hope that this tumblelog lasts longer than my previous blog — an astonishing five days.

The styling that surely blinds as you read this was created in a matter of minutes; the coding took two hours. I would be very surprised if I never found any bugs or discrepancies. Please inform me of any such delights by way of commenting. You can comment on almost any post by clicking on the title. You will recognize the title by way of its firm, bold typeset.

While the definition of tumblelog dictates that posts be somewhat shorter than an actual “blog,” I shall defy that frequently.
